Asako Kamiya participated in a genome project as a technician at a public research institution for eight years. After passing the patent attorney examination, she engaged in identification of new inventions and acquisition of rights at the Center for Intellectual Property Strategies of the same research institution for about one year. She joined our firm in February 2009.

She is involved in a variety of domestic and foreign patent filings and prosecutions related to organic and inorganic materials, polymeric materials, electrical and electronic materials, and optical materials, as well as applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields. She also handles opposition cases and has extensive experience in infringement litigation, settlement negotiation, and licensing agreement.
